SMS Terms & Opt-Out Policy

This policy describes how mealtally uses SMS text messaging, your consent to receive messages, and how to opt out at any time.

1. Consent to Receive SMS Messages

By providing your phone number to mealtally, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS text messages including promotional, transactional, and service-related messages. Your consent is not a condition of purchase but is required to use SMS-based features.

2. Types of Messages

  • Meal confirmations — replies confirming your meal was logged
  • Daily/weekly summaries — nutrition totals if enabled in settings
  • Magic link authentication — one-time login links
  • System notifications — service announcements and security alerts
  • Re-engagement messages — reminders if you haven't logged recently
  • Help and support — responses to /help commands

3. Message Frequency

Frequency varies based on your usage and preferences. Meal confirmations send one message per meal (if enabled). Daily summaries send up to one per day. You can reduce frequency by changing your reply mode to "Silent" in settings.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS charges from your mobile carrier apply.mealtally does not charge for SMS messages.

5. How to Opt Out

Text any of the following keywords to your mealtally number: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. You will receive one final confirmation message.

6. How to Opt Back In

Text START, YES, or UNSTOP to your mealtally number to resume receiving messages.

7. Privacy

Your phone number and message content are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
